Michael Weinstein is presenting the recent lunar simulant development work at the upcoming Planetary & Terrestrial Mining Sciences Symposium the week of June 9, 2008. The conference is Montreal Canada and is sponsored by NORCAT / CSA.
The title of the presentation is: Industrial-Scale Production of Lunar Simulant Glass, Agglutinate, Re-crystallized / Synthetic Anorthite and Melt Breccias. All of these materials are available for simulant designers in multi-ton quantities.
In addition to the simulant components, Zybek has developed processes for lunar building materials from the LHT stock materials. The lunar building materials include: discontinuous fiberglass and re-crystallized bricks.
